TOPIC : PRAYER FOR LIGHT – O’LORD LIGHT MY CANDLE
Scripture :Psalm 18: 28. For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.
Beloved I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! The essence of light is to dismissed darkness! The moment light appears darkness vanished because the dominion of light over darkness is instant! We as Christian represent the light of God in our world but many of us are not shinning because our candles is not lighted. Today our focus is to take a passionate cry to God for our candles to be lighted.
What exactly is this candle that God must light?
It is simply human spirit; our human spirit is the candle that God must light.
The Bible said:
Proverbs 20: 27. The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.
Observe from the scripture above that our human spirit is a candle! And no candle gives light without being lit up hence our spirit needs to be lit up. To get your candle aflame is to set your spirit on fire and such light it up. And the advantage of a lighted spirit is enormous as it is easy for such individuals to catch what God is saying and also know the happening around him/her.
Why do you need to light your candle?
1. It is to keep darkness and the works of darkness at Bay:
It was Reinhard Bonnke of blessed memory that said it is only a cold stove that house flies can prearch on, they dare not come close to a hot stove. Similarly, when your spirit is on fire, giving off light every time, no devil dares come close! When Darkness see you from afar off, they clear off, the chains of darkness can easily break, confusions gives way and you fly unhindered.
2. It is to open you up to heavenly frequency: when you are well lighted, divine inspiration (wisdom), divine direction, access to divine secrets flows naturally because you are at the frequency of God. You can think and act in God’s capacity.
Beloved, the world is full of darkness and activities of darkness! If your spirit is not lighted in this season, your life may be a feasting ground for demons. Therefore, rise up and cry passionately for the Lord to lit up your life. Pray the following;
Prayer points:
1. O Lord light my candle in the name of Jesus.
Psalm 18: 28. For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.
2. O Lord enlighten my darkness,, light up my spirit in the name of Jesus
3. Father, the light I need for a change of levels, let it shine upon my head today in the name of Jesus
2 Corinthians 4: 6. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness,…
4. O Lord I’m tired of walking in darkness let your Light shine on me, command your Light to shatter every darkness around my life today in the name of Jesus.
5. Oh Lord let your light shine in my family, expose every activities of darkness in the name of Jesus.
6. Oh Lord light my candle to recover all that I have lost in the past in the name of Jesus.
Luke 15: 8. Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?
7. Father thank you for listening my spirit to find what is missing in Jesus name.
Remember this : Heaven is real and hell is real! If you are not yet born again, there is no light that will shine except the light of salvation. Until you surrender to Jesus your candle may never shine.
2 Corinthians 4: 6. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
The first light you need is Jesus(Jn.8:12)! The Giver of life and the knowledge of the glory of God. So give your heart to Christ today!
Prophetic Declaration :
– I prophesy may your candle receive a fresh fire in the name of Jesus.
– Every darkness around you, let it be swallowed up now in the name of Jesus.
– You that is at the cross roads of life, confused about what step to take receive direction now in Jesus name.
