President Muhammadu Buhari

The opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has indicted President Muhammadu Buhari over diverted billions by former National Security Adviser Colonel Sambo Dasuki.

The PDP’s National Youth Frontier speaks through its Twitter account, saying that money was used to buy bullet proof vehicles for Buhari.

Dasuki has been at the center of a strong criminal probe for several months already which has implicated different high-level political figures in Nigeria comprising former African Independent Television chairman Raymond Dokpesi, former Board of Trustees chairman of the PDP Anthony Anenih, powerful South West PDP leader Bode George; the ex-governor of the Sokoto state Attahiru Bafarawa, ex-finance minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and media mogul Nduka Obaigbena.
The leadership of the opposition party recently said that if the Buhari’s led administration must succeed in its fight against corruption, it must probe all security votes of past presidents and heads of state from 1984 to date.
